Tour of LIGO Observatory

One of the two LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory) labs is in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, North of New Orleans. We have arranged for a special tour of this facility on the afternoon of Saturday May 26th. LIGO will make scientists and engineers available to conduct you through the lab and to describe the science behind it.  You can find out more about LIGO here.

The cost is $20.00 per person and includes bus transportation to and from the LIGO site. Admission to LIGO is free. The buses will leave at 12:30 from the Morial Convention Center and return by 19:00. The trip will take about 1hr 45 min each way. The tour does not include lunch or dinner.

Advanced registrations for the LIGO tour are now closed.

Any unfilled seats on the bus will be sold on a first come first served basis at the conference registration desk.
