The American Physical Society (Division of Physics of Beams ) invites to you to attend a High School Science Teachers’ Day on Thursday, May 24, 2012, to be held as part of the International Particle Accelerator 2012 Conference (IPAC12) in New Orleans. This Teachers’ Day, which will be free of charge, will provide a full day of professional development geared to science teachers.
- Demonstrations presenting innovative activities for science students
- Tutorials based on cutting-edge science in the accelerator field
- A welcoming breakfast, where you can network with fellow teachers
- A luncheon, where you can network with each other and conference participants
WHERE: Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, 900 Convention Center Blvd., New Orleans LA 70130
When: Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm
Costs: The program and meals will be covered and some assistance with travel costs can be given. We are unable to cover substitute expenses.
